ENOUGH.

OK, we get it. Snowmageddon again. Snowpocalypse. Snowprahwinfrey. Whatever you want to call it. It's here and we have to deal with it, and maybe even some more before the weekend.

Somewhere Al Gore is chuckling, "I told you so." Sheesh.

A Day On

I'm not in the habit of quoting posts from Twitter here, but yesterday, Philadelphia's mayor, Michael Nutter, posted a great one:

"Remember, Monday is a day on, not a day off! " Thanks Mr. Mayor.

I showed the above video to Ben and Sophie this morning while we ate breakfast. They told me that they saw some of it in school last week, but they were quietly, amazingly attentive during the famous speech, right to the end. And when Dr King thundered the famous ending triplet, "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty we are free at last!" they clapped. I was speechless. And moved. Lump in throat.

I asked them what they learned about Martin Luther King. "He tried to get people to get along," said Sophie. "He tried to get people to like each other," said Ben. "And to work together," they both said almost simultaneously.

Out of the mouth of babes.

Hold on to those thoughts today, as you enjoy your day on. We will. And do some good today. We wil. Because today is a day on, not a day off. Thanks again, Mayor Nutter.
